Antipodean Palette 2023
After the isolation
The Greek-Australian Cultural League (GACL) is excited to announce the return of the annual Antipodean Palette group art exhibition, taking place from August 3 – 13, 2025, at Steps Gallery, 62 Lygon Street, Carlton. This much-anticipated event showcases the diverse and vibrant works of artists within the Greek Australian community.
After three years of adapting to outdoor and virtual exhibitions due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s theme, “After the Isolation,” symbolises a triumphant return to in-person exhibitions and the joy of creative expression without boundaries.
Artists of all backgrounds are invited to submit their most recent works, embracing any medium and subject matter of their choosing. Whether emerging or established, all artists are encouraged to share their creativity and unique perspectives.
Now in its 13th year, the Antipodean Palette continues to be a cornerstone of the GACL’s cultural calendar, offering an essential platform for artists to present and discuss works influenced by the rich tapestry of their heritage and experiences.
Selected artworks will also be featured in the GACL’s annual bilingual periodical, ‘Antipodes,’ which celebrates its milestone 50th year of publication in 2025.
