4-12 July

MAS-Malvern Artists’ Society

1297-99 High St, Malvern vic

The Greek Australian Cultural League is hosting its 16th annual group art exhibition, Antipodean Palette, which aims to showcase the artistic creations of artists of Greek descent or with links to the Greek Australian community. On show will be the work of twenty-two artists, some of whom have participated in previous Antipodean Palette  exhibitions.

The opening ceremony will be held on Saturday 4th July at 2:00pm. We are very fortunate to have in attendance the Consul General of Greece, Ms Dimitra Georgantzoglou, and Stonnington Councillor, Ms Jami Klisaris, who will launch the exhibition.

This event will be enhanced with the attendance of the Eikon Byzantine Choir, which will add a reflective and gentle atmosphere suited to the exhibition.

On Thursday 9th July at 6:00pm, we will launch Stella Sorotou’s book “Exodos” presented by Dr Christos Fifis. A poetic and visual-artistic collection on the Exodos of Missolonghi. Musical accompaniment by Demotika band. An additional feature of the exhibition will be the annual Poetry Afternoon, programmed for Saturday 11th July at 2:00pm, with the theme Lost Stories Found. We will hear from 7 notable poets who will share their poems and stories.

The exhibition and all the abovementioned events will be held at the Malvern Artists’ Society Gallery, 1297-99 High St, Malvern.

We welcome everybody to all the events.
